Features

The G-Dyno Plus is a precision accelerometer, data acquisition system and GPS. It
records hundreds of forward and sideways (lateral) acceleration measurements every second of vehicle movement, 7 analog inputs (throttle position, map
sensor, A/F Ratio etc.), 4 digital (injector opening, RPM, etc.), as well as GPS derived vehicle location.
Operating the G-Dyno Plus with GPS
Power / Torque
G-Dyno™ Plus allows anyone
to get accurate dyno results any time they wish. All you'll need is a flat
section of road. How does it work? Basically the G-Dyno™ Plus is a
precision accelerometer that records hundreds of forward and sideways
(lateral) measurements every few millisecond of vehicle movement.
The user must supply the car's weight and some
other variables, but the rest is pure physics.
This is not a power estimating program! G-Dyno™ Plus
measures the power of your engine directly by making precise measurements. G-Dyno™ Plus will allow you to accurately measure the amount of power your car is putting
to the ground.
Cornering
G-Dyno™ Plus measures lateral (sideways) acceleration. By collecting data on the
track, you can see the g force your car handled in cornering, or by driving a
constant radius circle you can compare front / rear handling setups, check the
results of adjustments to toe in/out, camber and caster. Measure the maximum g
forces and find out which brand of tire is best.
Braking
G-Dyno™ Plus is also invaluable for braking measurements.
By measuring the deceleration, G-Dyno™ Plus can show braking effectiveness
at various speeds, conditions and different brake pads.
Track Mapping
G-Dyno Plus with GPS automatically
logs the GPS position of the
vehicle. This allows all the parameters – power, RPM, speed, acceleration, and logged data such as AFR, throttle position etc,
to be viewed against time and track position.
“Drive" the track and check data against any position on the track. Braking point, point of acceleration, apex entry etc.
After analysis, the vehicle performance data is displayed as a 3D-plot road / track position against time, or full 3D
position with altitude! You can "drive" through the test with the animated data display, zoom in on areas to
fine-tune your car and driving. All parameters of the graph can be altered and saved with our powerful chart editing tools.
Open Format
All the data is in Excel compatible and text formats for easy viewing with other programs.
The full NMEA data from the GPS is also stored for use with other SatNav software etc.
There really is no other tool which can offer all these features!
