On vehicles sold outside the USA, the
OBD II connector pins can help in determining whether
the scan tool will work on your vehicle. The scan tool works on EOBD (European
On-Board Diagnostics) and EOBD2 vehicles.
Note: Even if the connector pinouts match, there is still a
possibility it might not function correctly.
There are up to 5 protocols supported by the LaptopDyno. Each protocol uses different pins to communicate. The OBD II connector has 16 pin
locations which are numbered as shown below.
