Extreme Pressure Agents
Extreme pressure agents and antiwear additives protect against metal-to-metal contact and accelerated engine wear caused by the loss of lubrication during cold starts, sudden acceleration, heavy engine loads, and the loss of lubrication at high temperatures caused by viscosity breakdown. These additives are comprised of synthetically derived hydrocarbon molecules and advanced chemical compounds that penetrate the metal and form a complex bond, not unlike a liquid armored shield. This penetrating and virtually unbreakable lubricating barrier forms a tribo-chemical film that assures metal-to-metal contact cannot take place.

Friction Modifiers
Friction modifiers are extremely slippery substances that reduce friction and drag. Unlike lower grade additives, the PowerTrip® high quality friction modifiers provide a much lower coefficient of friction without adversely affecting the oil in any way.
